About this room

A traditional wooden house, raised up among the trees

This is the room people ask for by name. A traditional Khmer wooden house raised high on stilts, with a private balcony that looks out across the garden towards the lotus pond and the banana trees. In the morning you can watch the lotus flowers open from your own chair.

Inside there are two king beds and a sofa bed, so it comfortably takes four adults and one child — a whole family in one house.

One thing to know before you book: because the house stands on stilts, the bathroom is on the ground below — private and only for this house, with hot water, but you walk down the steps to reach it. It's fan-cooled with mosquito nets rather than air-conditioning; the whole house is built to catch the breeze, which is exactly why it stays cool.

There is only one Khmer Wooden House. When it's taken, it's taken — so it's worth messaging early if your dates are fixed.
